Re: R4 clarification
The rules you want to review are those regarding the Frame Perimeter (mainly R2-R4) and those regarding bumpers (mainly R19-R28). It's generally helpful to get in the habit of thinking of the rules...

Re: pic: 4183 Custom Machined Wheel
We haven't done any testing yet. According to my cheesy kitchen scale this one minus the hub and hardware is just over 120 grams, and there's a lot of room for cutting more material out.

Re: pic: 4183's 2015 Robot: Stack Overflow
Can you point me to any products/processes that work well? Before build season I tested a green Minwax water based stain, but the results were kind of ugly. I'd like to play with tinting dyes and...

Re: Only Two Qualifying Matches?
This doesn't say that teams will only have two qualification matches. It says that if a team has a surrogate match it will be the third qualification match the team plays. Any matches before or after...

Re: Team 4183 Bit Buckets prototype hook
The hook can hold several totes, but it was intended for one at a time. We have not played with using multiple hooks per tote yet, but that is the approach we're most likely to take.

Re: [FRC Blog] Kit Hints?
The game piece is a fluorescent light bulb, the long package is a bundle with a few spares to account for expected breakage.

Freddy, if you want something spiffier than the regular old gray duct tape, I think David still has some of the pink Hello Kitty stuff. :p

Re: To deadweight or not
Keep in mind you don't have to be able to win a pushing contest to defend successfully. You do, however, have to be where you want to be when you want to be there. With how open this year's field is,...

Re: What're these part called?
The fittings you circled are standard brass pipe fittings, you should be able to pick them up at a local hardware store.

Re: To Shoot or Not to Shoot
You don't need to seed high to win a regional, you need to be on an alliance that is competitive. I think it's fair to say that a high seeded alliance with two great shooters doesn't need a third...
