Re: Team 987 - 2016 highlight video

I was disappointed not to see the final shot you guys made at Vegas. :p

Fantastic bot, glad I got to see it up close!

Re: FRC2826 Wave Robotics 2015 Recap Video

One of the best things to come out of 2015. Fantastic team, fantastic machine!

Re: Really cool EV3 bot

I love the strumming mechanism, especially the cam that lifts the "pick" above the strings. Neat video!

Re: Do we want another game without defense?

I personally liked the approach to Aim High: limit only 2 robots to defense for a portion of the match. Defense is good, but too much of turns the game into a robot sumo. I think there's a middle...

Re: 2015 Curie Divison

I'm fairly certain Alliance 1 scored 113 in sf2. 148s stacked got misaligned when 1923 backed up too far in auto. 1114 also dropped a stack.

Re: #Team20PointAuton

Finally got our auto dialed in at LV, I have to say I haven't yet seen a team approach it quite like we did. Not disturbing the cans seems to be a nice advantage!...

Re: This year's "game" is a job, not a game

I think this game is quite exciting, at least from the perspective of a team member. I've really enjoyed the season so far since we're continuously iterating and improving our design. I like how we...

Re: pic: Bit Buckets 2015 Prototype Drive Pod

I'm just taking the conservation of energy route.

Assume constant power output P. P = force * velocity (dot product used here). Since the force of the wheel along the direction of motion is...

Re: ALS Bucket Challenge, CD everyone is challenged

I find it silly that anybody is complaining about "wasting water", to the point where it's almost ludicrous. You want to know how to offset somebody wasting 10 gallons of fresh water? Next time you...

Re: Engineering Awards Quinfecta

Is the Excellence in Engineering Award equivalent to Delphi's other awards they offered in the past (Driving Tomorrow's Technology, for instance)?

Re: Java vs Labview

Fair points all around. I find that LabVIEW is easier to teach to people with zero programming background and are interested in control systems. The fact that it's proprietary is a bit of a turn-off,...

Re: Java vs Labview

I think a case structure can function as an if-statement; just wire a boolean value to the condition terminal. Am I misunderstanding?

Re: 301 points! and could have done more

This has been my main thought on the issue. If Sanghi offered the challenge without the monetary incentive, things would have likely transpired the same way. You'd be surprised at just how open and...

Re: 301 points! and could have done more

I don't see any shame in the blue alliance admitting that they had a very slim chance to win, nor do I see any shame with giving thousands of spectators something different to cheer for in a final...

Re: 301 points! and could have done more

I'm just saying that you can't always cry foul when a material incentive exists. There are teams who perform actions (that they normally wouldn't have) for the sake of winning an award or getting a...

Re: 301 points! and could have done more
