All of the gearboxes used on 716's robots are made on a manual Bridgeport. I am still making them as, at least for us, it is lower cost than buying. I have upgraded to a DRO to make it easier...

Many air filters are similar to the water separator already mentioned, you could remove the filter if needed.

The full design is posted in White Papers. The square shaft is one of the upgrades in the 2016 gearbox. It shifts on the fly. 716 has used the square dog since 2005.

I am away from the programming computer but I beleive there is an IsTeleop and IsAutonomous that can be used in C++ for dropping out of loops. Possibly this could be used with single solenoid.
