Re: Who makes their own wheels?

Those are some absolutely beautiful wheels. How did you attach the sprockets to the wheel "shafts"? I'm assuming the two little holes at the end of the wheel "shaft" had something to do with it....

Re: Which game would be most epic if replayed with 2016 tech and rules?

I think Ultimate Ascent would easily be the most broken game. 2013 was a much more technically challenging game than most others. The big challenges of 2013 were figuring how to pick up the disks,...

Re: [FRC Blog] The Woodie Flowers Award and Two FRC Championships

With WFA being awarded to a single person, I am confused why they would not award the Chariman's award to a single team.

Re: Best low goal robot

Any conversation about the best low goal robot has to include 3102. They had one of the best drivers I have ever seen. Their robot was simple, robust and could pick up boulders, cross defenses and...

67's 2012 robot. The utility-arm that could do basically everything but shoot.

Re: Most Effective Robot EVER?

I'm going to go with the most effective robots from each of my years in FRC:

-254(2016) Instant aiming and near perfect shooting accuracy. Runner-ups: 5172 and 2481

-2826(2015) Their 28pt...

Re: The Age Old Question

*This links to Jim Zondag's amazing white paper, "2015 FRC Championship History", I will use it as a proof for my picks, but everyone that cares about FRC history should look it over....

Re: Tower Strength Raised to 10 for CMP

The part about this graph that most intrigues me is the single team* that averages 7.5 balls high a match. That is a whole boulder a match more than the second best shooting team.

*I'm going to...

Re: If YOU were the GDC...

Stronghold has been a very good game, but there are some tweaks I would make.

1. The scoring bar at the bottom quarter of the match feed should have been done differently. They should have had team...

Re: Waterloo Regional 2016

This is the first year since 2004 Simbotics has not won a regional. 2004 was their rookie season. I think that that is an more significant streak than 2056's win streak being broken.

Re: 2016 Duluth Regional Discussion

I like your predictions. I also know 2052 has pictures of themselves and many other robots from their week zero event. 1816 has a picture of their robot on their twitter page.

Re: Last call for bold predictions before competition begins!

The world champion alliance will not have a high goal shooting robot. ALSO, they will have their division's best robot at playing defense on the opposing alliance.

Re: Official FIRST Stronghold Teaser!

A few observations after watching 10 times:

1. The beginning of the video where all the students are around the tents appears to resemble the pits and they later go to the field.
2. At 20 seconds...
