Re: What Percent of Teams Use CAD?
Our team just had a fully CADed robot and had our best season ever. I would recomend CADing for it helps plan out what can be done with limited space. At PNW district champs, we learned that there...

Re: Is Welding Worth It?
We've welded our robot for the past 2 years. When you design before you weld, it works out very well. We use aluminum TIG welds.
I would say yes, welding is very much worth it.

Watch the ramparts!
Throughout the match the ramparts get breached but near the end of the match the light go back on, as if they had only been crossed once.
I know that nothing can change now but I was just shocked...

Re: Thoughts on driving in FIRST Stronghold
The first thing that I felt driving in Week 1, was that vision was not as much of a problem as we all thought it would be. Having built a low bar robot, we expected to never be able to see the robot...

Really low tower health in PNW Quals match
We had a very fun match at the PNW DCMP. Thank you to our alliance 360 and 5803 for so much fun and maybe a new PNW record.

Re: Scaling Club
PNW has a scaling club of it's own. Some teams that I've seen scale are 2557, 4450, 1983, 4980, 5803, and 1425. I know that 2522 is working on a climbing, but I have yet to see it work. There is also...

Re: Alliance picks declined
In the CWU PNW District event, the 1st seed picked the 3rd seed, knowing they would decline, just to separate the 2nd and 3rd seed getting together, who could probably have won the event. The 1st and...

Is anybody talking about the low bar?
We've been curious as to what some other teams are considering going for the low bar. We've talked about some of the design constraints and decided that it is super dependent on other robots. So what...

I was curious as to what opr is during this year's game, and how it applies. If you could get back to me by posting on the thread, that'd be great. Thank you!
