Correct, provided you can set up your robot just as fast as all of the other teams. We had a couple of "sighting" holes on our robot last year for starting position and the refs had no problems with...

What do you want to track? Distance to a goal? Distance to a wall?

An ultrasonic sensor will give only distance. A camera can give distances and much more, but is significantly harder to...

Airspace is not part of the pyramid in terms of contact so you could "loop" over the pole...
