Re: Programming
My team bought a few Arduino cars from amazon that have worked well for us:

It's $70 but that's pretty cheap...

Re: FIRST STRONGHOLD Discussion
The rules for selecting defenses is confusing me.
The way I understand it is that each alliance gets to pick 3 defenses one from each category that the audience is not picking. My question is that...

Re: Team Math
(1114/1114)^254*2423=2423... coincidence or is it a sign for what's to come?

Re: aesthetic robots
There are many pretty robots but no list is complete without 118, 148, and 254. 118's robots are insane. I don't know how to describe them, but for some reason their robots remind me a little of the...

Re: Do we want another game without defense?
I really liked the lack of size restrictions this year since it allowed teams to make very creative designs. If FIRST could make a game with defense/robot-robot interaction and no size restrictions,...

Re: Robots vs. Humans
2011 it depends... does each human get a hypothetical minihuman for pole climbing?
2013 definitely not with a few athletic humans can can dunk and each hang from the top of the pyramid.
2015 is...

Re: CMP Alliances - Please Post
How is it possible that 118, 1678, and 1671 are on the same alliance? Each of those teams can make 3 capped stacks on their own. That alliance is going to put up multiple 300+ point matches.

Re: Webcasts 2015
"HEY HEY HEY HEY HEY HEY HEY HEY" - Some guy saying hey over and over again on the curie division stream. It's pretty annoying.

Re: 2015 Curie Divison
The one that moves and picks up bins is called Batman. The one that sits at the feeder station and builds stacks is called Robin. They used to have a 3rd robot called Alfred which I believe was only...

Re: 2015 Curie Divison
If 1114 and 148 team up, is the division deep enough for them to pick up a decent canburglar? Or is 148 planning on building one (not sure how much weight the have to spare since they no longer need...

Re: [FRC Blog] We're Listening
I think FIRST and everyone here complaining probably have the same goals, we just have different ideas on how to accomplish them. I'm sure the people who thought of this idea are very smart, but...

Re: [FRC Blog] We're Listening
The championship event isn't just about the participants because the spectators matter as well. Although only a small fraction of the community can participate anyone can spectate. It won't benefit...

I get how this might benefit teams that don't often get the chance to attend the World Championship event, but how are spectators and potential future participants going to feel about this? By making...
