When we put some on our control board I didn't know if it was the hook or loop so I just put two...

No idea why they would have that.

Just throwing it out, as it's directly tied to the hardware.

Re: Team 2980's Open Source FIRST BOT

We had a jaguar running our lift mechanism on a window motor and it was locking up as you've described, probably once every few up-down translations. Switched to a Victor and no further...

Re: 2011 compressor

I think some of the difference is accounted for by the Viair compressor being rated at a supply voltage of 13.8V vs the old compressor at 12V.

Solidworks conversion 2009+ -> 2008 or less

Hi,

We have a mentor that is proficient in solidworks and we are trying to use it to draw up our robot. Unfortunately many of the parts that we are trying to use are available in solidworks 2009+...

Re: Minibot Standardization (FRC 2011: Logomotion)

Perhaps a Bayonet - type of mounting where your robot has a delivery system,
eg a 1" square tube with a right angle end that actuates out, you can then provide a female connector to a partner team...

Re: Team update 16

They could improve by not changing the rules after 'coopertition' has actually begun.

I guess I wasn't clear before.

Some other ideas:

Call the week 1 regionals 'beta' so people know that that's...

Talk about a 'race to the bottom' for FIRST.

Here at the Bayou Regional a team that never fielded a working robot was in the top 8. Of course being picked by them for elimination made for an...

Re: PROGRAMMING HELP PLEASE !

I think that you are encountering a problem because you are referencing the motor power three times with different 'set speed' VIs and are hitting some sort of race condition.

One thing that is not...

Re: Creating a "delay" for a boolean value

Ok. I guess since I don't know what the boolean that is controling the case statement is doing, I don't know what this will do.

Try it out in a test...

Re: Creating a "delay" for a boolean value

I always use them as SubVi-s. So unwrapping them I'm not sure I'll have to look in a bit. You should be able to set up some momentary boolean and have it output a boolean that stays true or false for...

Hey Greg,

That sounds like a reasonable plan. I'll try it out next time I get access to the cRIO.

I spent all yesterday letting the kids drive the wheels off of the thing in the cafeteria so I...
