To wire in parallel you just run a wire from the positive of one battery to the positive of the other, and then to the positive end of your Anderson connector. Do the same for the negative.

I don't believe there was a DJ in pittsburgh. I think it was a radio station (probably satellite radio or internet radio.) I seem to recall hearing commercials, and DJ's don't play commercials.
