Re: IR Board Problem

I'm using iambujo's method of a serial dongle connected to the board.

Yes, I saw that and set both of them. Maybe I'll try again on a different computer. Thanks for your help. Its strange...

Re: IR Board Problem

Yes I unzipped the hex file. I can read from the device without error (although now its empty!). I don't think the serial port voltage is too low, it erased the device fine. As soon as I open the...

Re: IR Board Problem

So I did this, I was able to initialize (once I used a desktop, not a laptop) and I was able to erase the program currently on there. But when I go to load the FIRSTIR.hex, it gives me an error...

I have a pretty detailed post here (http://www.chiefdelphi.com/forums/showthread.php?t=64309) about that. :)

Re: Problems with victor blowing

Update 10 suggests putting a switch in series with the power of the IR sensor board. Unfortunately this is a hassle in that you have to remember the process of turning the robot on, then turning the...

Re: Problems with victor blowing

I never said it was fixed, just that it seems to be working fine now. We're still going to investigate the problem, but we had to leave the shop today. We're going to contact IFI and see if its...

Re: Problems with victor blowing

The motors all seemed to have the same resistance between them, so there isn't a short in the motors. We tested each motor individually on an older speed controller. They both worked going through a...

Thumbs up Re: How many people like bumpers?

I agree 100%. Its an added 15 pounds to help lower your center of gravity. Only issue I ever had with it was that it made it kinda difficult to go up the ramp in 2006.

Overall I think bumpers are a...
