Re: 1114's HARPOONS

Looks like they won't get a chance to show off the new 900.

Re: Einstein Field

Did Autonomous just stop abruptly on the red side of the field? It seems like 1114, 1923, and 148 all stopped early, 148 hadn't entered the zone yet and neither 1114 nor 1923 backed up after spearing...

Re: VEX EDR or Lego EV3 for high school robotics elective?

I second this. VEX is super fun to compete in and (provided that your careful enough) the parts don't break that easily.

Re: Patched Widget for USB Camera in SmartDashboard

It would have never worked correctly and the widget in the SmartDashboard would have a red bar with a message stating that the frame was missing a Huffman Table.

Re: Text files on the roborio?

This is probably a stupid question, but did you restart the robot after plugging in the flash drive? We've had to do this every time that we used one.

Re: 1114 the Statistical Outlier

The key to winning football games is scoring more points than the other team.

Re: ANNOUNCING: navX MXP Robotics Navigation Sensor

We threw ours on as soon as we got the robot out of the bag and it worked perfectly for all of our matches. We were using Java and the NavX was powered through USB.

Re: The Best Encoders for Drivetrain

We prefer Grayhill 63R over any of the other offerings that we've tried. We've had no issues with them skipping counts or anything like that and they are a lot more rugged than the ones that we've...

Re: 2015 Greater Pittsburgh Regiona

The roads and sidewalks are already getting pretty bad here in Pittsburgh, I'd expect conditions to be similar in California, PA. x2 to everyone being extremely careful on the way there.

Re: Elevator Motion Profiling / PID Ramping

Ether has a lot of information about motion profiling here: http://www.chiefdelphi.com/media/papers/3107. If you haven't seen it, it would be a good starting point. I know for sure that the Cheesy...

Re: 2 v 3 in Dallas

I don't think whether or not the rules being enforced at all times is what's really being debated, I think the focus is more on whether or not it was fair to just disable them and start the match...

Re: 2 v 3 in Dallas

It ended up being 1v2 given that 987 was disabled for breaking the height restriction.

Re: 2 v 3 in Dallas

I seriously doubt that 148 (or any high-caliber team, for that matter) would ever tell another team to not put their robot in the field.

Re: Roborio i2c to arduino uno

Pin A4 on the Arduino connects to SDA and A5 connects to SDL. I don't think that the other pins need to be connected given that the Arduino has its own power source.

Re: March 5 2015 :Regional Pennsylvania

There's a Pittsburgh regional thread, you're probably more likely to get responses from people who will be there in that thread.
