Re: I want a ASIMO!

Yup! I saw the show about a year and a half ago during a robotics competition (BEST). I was one of the audience members chosen to go on stage, so I had to go up and dance with ASIMO. :)

Re: pic: 25 and 968 during autonomous

Re: Interesting Drive Train Idea...

Something to keep in mind is that an increase in torque is no good if you can't translate it into pushing force. You'll notice that with some of the most popular traction materials out there...

Re: How do you rank?

Would there be anyway to look at the power rankings from the techtigers for the 2005 season? The link seems to be down now. Thanks!

Re: Help! Making Continuous Loop out of Plastic Sheet

Would adding a canvas backing to the plastic sheet take care of the stretch issue?

I'm thinking of a backing strip sowed across every 5 inches or so along the belt, or sowed along the length of the...

Help! Making Continuous Loop out of Plastic Sheet

How would you make a continuous loop out of strips of the plastic materials shown below (they're plastic sheets of "rug runner," a carpet protecting plastic)? Any thoughts on glues or mechanical...

Re: Lead Screw or Linear Motion Source

I'm looking at page 3019 of the McMaster-Carr catalog. We're looking for a 10-pitch lead screw that offers sufficient strength, minimizes weight, and that is as cheap as possible.

I'm currently...

Re: Need Help: Formula Needed

With just a PSI rating, you can't figure out the CFM; PSI is a pressure measurement, whereas CFM is a volume/time measurement. That's why when you buy a compressor, you'll see two ratings, both the...
