Re: Wind River build environment

You deserve a big 'atta-boy' for persevering and figuring this out.
Atta-boy!
For future reference, when you have a project that just won't build, and you have another similar project that does (an...

Re: WindRiver connection problem on Tablet Computers?

I think you are probably correct -- my mistake.
I thought post #6 was just a reiteration and elaboration on the original post.
The VM using 32-bit OS seems to be the only 100% reliable solution...

Re: pic: 2791 Concept Arm Frame

Re: Wind River build environment

If what you're after is a basic robot project, why did you copy the old project?

Re: Why Windriver?

Wind River is providing a complete, highly integrated, software development, runtime, and debug environment.
At NO cost to FIRST teams.
And you simply dismiss it because you can't use your latest...

Re: Shortcut/Location of executable for Wind River Workbench?

32-bit Vista, on my laptop and my daughter's laptop as well, no program shortcuts.
We do have shortcut on the desktop though.

Re: No FIRST tab in wind river? [installation problems]

You can copy the entire Wind River directory from one computer to another.
There's no guarantee doing that will make things work correctly on a 64-bit W7 computer -- even if you're copying *from* a...

Re: WindRiver connection problem on Tablet Computers?

I've read the thread again and decided:
1) nolanpoe and the OP are one and the same
2) the problem reported in the first post is the same problem shown in post #6 -- but less clearly articulated.

Re: Shortcut/Location of executable for Wind River Workbench?

Toward the end of the installation, one of the last screens, there was a check-box for the installer to create a shortcut on the desktop, right?

It's disturbing that nothing gets added to programs...

Re: Rebuilding the WPILib?

Isn't that only helpful if one has already downloaded the sources?

Your team members who had WR Workbench installed last year already had target connections defined from last year -- so...

Re: WindRiver connection problem on Tablet Computers?

"not supported" only means that Wind River doesn't test the product on 64-bit W7.
It doesn't necessarily mean the product will not work on some installations.

Re: Wind River's VxWorks Throwing Error (~Assistance Please~)

Use the browse button to navigate to the kernel file -- on your host computer.

Is that the full and correct path of the vxWorks kernel image on your host?
Are you using Linux?
