Re: Rookie team having trouble with Robot Code

No communication is not a code issue, it's a network problem.

You can first leave your desktop directly connected to the robot just to see if Communications and Robot Code both go green. Assuming you installed the Driver Station application on it.

For a direct connection between the Classmate netbook and the cRIO double-check your team number entered in the driver station, turn off the network you aren't using (wireless), check to see that the Local LAN settings are correct and it didn't get confused by the wireless connection.

For the wireless network, the main element is really the setup of the D-Link. You'll need to double-check everything there, from the AP switch on the back, to the settings in the documentation. The Classmate wireless connection will have to be enabled and set, while the Local LAN connection is disabled (and the IP changed to something harmless).
