I love the idea and can't wait for Monday so I can try it out. Are the creation of different

the static (thank you thank you, no more GetInstance) log() functions never specify a widget type.
If more GUI-like functionality is available for this (my team really really wants a compass like interface) then this shall be our new Dashboard. Really excited
