What is FIRST?

FIRST to Me

Family, Friends, Inspiration, these are FIRST.
It is something that when done right allows everyone to grow up,
Allows everyone to learn what it is like to be equal,
No Adults, No High Schoolers, No Leaders, No One above the other,
There are only Friends and Family.

FIRST is intangible ultimately.

No One word can describe it.
Either you get it or you don't.

FISRT is not about Titles or Awards or Medals.
FIRST is about the people in it.
The People are what makes FIRST special.
Some say the Chairman's Award is the most prestigous award in FIRST.
I Disagree.
The Respect and Friendship one earns from other teams by far is the ultimate, most prestigous award anyone can get while being in FIRST.

The People we meet while being a part of FIRST is what makes the program what it has become.
If everyone loses “it”, that intangible gut feeling of what FIRST is, than all will be lost and FIRST will become evreything I hoped it would never become.
This is what FIRST is to me.

Let me know what you all think of what I said and what you think FIRST is.
