I don't have a hard time imagining that some teams are without access to an arbor press, a milling vice, a large lathe, or a bottle jack (and even those teams that could get/have a bottle jack might not have the time or materials to build a frame for it). Would it really be that bad with a bench vise or a really big C-clamp?
