Hmmm, it seems the United States has built their major cities with roads to accommodate the internal combustion engine...Matt, this engine is not 'some engine.' Perhaps you already know the concept behind how it works, but if not,
www.howstuffworks.com has a great illustrated explanation. This engine will not need to exchange anything with the outside environment. The heat source is the only thing that will exchange energy, the rest is completely self contained. I don't know, and end to pollution from transportation, and independence from the Middle East (oil) sounds pretty good to me. Granted, new cities wont crop up solely because of IT, but i think that if it is as big as it sounds (and from the patent drawings - a general scooter-type design), it will at least be incorporated into the design of the roadways.
