But the odds of 3 tubes being placed on one set of top row pegs is a bit risky since there is a decent risk of an autonomous collision. Scoring like that would require a delay by at a least one of the robots to ensure that there is space for all of them to score.

I agree, but somewhere, there's going to be a match where it's three solid teams with good programming skills and they will be playing against a bad alliance, and they will be able to achieve it.
