Re: Driver Station installer bugs

After much waisted time I have a fix for the driver station installer problem expirenced by some. There is a problem between previously installed software from Cypress and the Driver station installer. Assuming that you have already installed
1) Labview plus the FRC utilities or just the FRC utilities
2) the FRC utilities update
3) the Driver Station update.

Try this
1) Uninstall all of the Cyress software including Programmer and Creator
2) Uninstall the complete driver Station package
3) Edit the system registry and remomve all references of cyminiprog3
4) Edit the system registry and remove hklm/software/cypress key
5) Restart computer and verify that cyminiprog3 service is not listed in service manager
6) Reinstall Driver Station update. This time all 3 sections should be listed for install (programmer , cypress files and Driver station)

7) Check PSOC by plugging it into USB and pressing the button. Light 2 will light if the PSOC has V2 of the firmware install. If you don't get light 2 Run the programmer app and load FRC_IO.V2.hex onto the device.

8) Start Driver Station. Driver station should now see PSOC device. If not verify that miniprog3 service did start (may need to start service manually in service manager window).

Hope this helps the next guy.
