Lightbulb Re: How do I get joystick values in LabView?

Also, when you get that installed...
to get the joystick values you would right click in block diagram...
go down to the bottom selection to the robotics library...
goto the joystick selections...
use the device refnum vi thats in the selection.... (make sure to pick the one with the arrow on the right)
on the left of this icon put a contant called "Joystick 1"...
on the right, hook up another vi in the joystick section called Get.vi...
Now, right-click and go to the section called cluster which should be next to numeric...
in there is a thing called unbundle by name, put it the block diagram
hook the "unbundle by name" to the axis output of get.vi....
Increase the size of the cluster just like you would increase the size of a picture...
You can now hook up the x-axis and y-axis cluster values to numeric indicators on the telop dashboard to get joystick axis values...
You can also use the unbundle cluster for button values also found on the get vi...
Then you can hook boolean indicators to them as well to find out what buttons are being pressed...
HOPE THIS HELPS
