I'm supporting the advice given in this thread, especially Greg's advice.

If you really want to do yourself and the team a favor, impress them by doing java, c++, and labview.

That is what we are trying to do this year, except the c++ will not deploy but that is a totally different problem for a different thread.

Do it all, turn into a software 'NINJA'.
