Re: JAGUAR PROBLEMS!!!

One of which we confirmed dead while the other we got to work again. After this, we put all the jaguars back on and calibrated them again. All the jaguars worked, except for one. This one would be a solid yellow stating neutral, but once we moved the joystick, problems arose. When the joystick is moved in either direction, the jaguar shows a red light and the wheels don't spin. We reset the jaguar and calibrated again, but no success.

One of our mentors thought the code was the problem, but i am pretty sure not because it is basically the default labview code with one extra motor for an arm and minibot deployment. Also, it is in arcade drive, thus the motors work together.
I am thinking it is the jaguar and it just needs to be replaced.

Any solutions?

Thanks
I'm curious, what have you done to 'confirm dead' one of the Jaguars? What got the other one working?

The red light indicates an electrical fault of some kind, have you made sure there are no metal chips causing a short anyway on the robot? Anything like that?

I'm a FIRST relic of sorts, I remember when we used PBASIC and we got CH Flightsticks in the KoP. In my day we didn't have motorized carts, we pushed our robots uphill, both ways! (Houston 2003!)
