If you look at the agenda for FiM events (ex. Kettering here:

OPEN on Thursday evening. It is not just a drop-off.
Contrast this to the FLR agenda here:
http://www.usfirst.org/uploadedfiles...ROC_Agenda.pdf Wednesday is noted "for drop-off only". While it does say "Pits close", that only indicates when drop-off ends. On Thursday there is an additional drop-off time at 7:45, and then the pits
open at 8:30.
This is the difference between 2-day and 3-day Bag-n-Tag events.
