This isn't exclusive to the Xbox controller, at least in my experience. It's a very strange bug that depends a lot on robot configuration and the game you're playing.
For Logomotion, the lifter takes at least 5 seconds to turn 90 degrees using either the controller or the keyboard. The armbot can turn quickly, if the arm is retracted over the robot base. What I theorize is happening is that the game is calculating turning speed as a function of wheelbase length. That's why armbot turning speed drops dramatically with an extended arm holding a tube.
For Lunacy, robots are simply unable to turn. The trailer also has a dramatic amount of "pull" on the robot.

The triangle is "jumpy" when held by the liftbot.

To a lesser extent, this can happen with the armbot and the square or triangle, but only under some seemingly random circumstance.

The Armbot arm can get stuck in the floor.

Just a note for people playing: You can "unstick" the arm by backing up, then raising it one "click".

Now for some of my bug reports:
Logomotion: - Arm robot cannot score on the top row. I don't know if the claw is able to extend upward or something, but I have yet to get a tube on the top row with the arm robot.
- White tubes on the middle rack are particularly sensitive. Placing them usually results in no point increase, or it will alternate between scored and not scored. The white tube can be scored by jamming it behind the field model in a physically impossible way, but right now it almost never counts. I have not tested to see if this applies to all racks.
- Deploying a minibot early results in a 3 point penalty - this is not part of the game. The tower is simply disabled.
Overdrive: Just one! Balls that leave the field never return. They just roll off into the abyss. This makes the game kinda boring.
Lunacy: See above comment about turning. The game is not playable.
Breakaway: In the past, if a player rapidly hit the ball return key, some balls would roll along the edge of the player station then fall into the front zone. Now, these balls roll all the way down the edge of the player station and permanently off the field, into the abyss.

Please don't take my list as a scathing criticism of this software. I love it and enjoy using it!
