Points to qualify for the MSC

The question here is, how many point will be required to qualify for the State Championship this year?

As a point of reference, the highest pointed team not qualifying was 835, with 59 points (107, with 65, qualified but chose not to go, having pre-applied to the CMP). We can't take the lowest playing team because their scores are affected by having played in the Michigan Championship. (Are there any issues with this information? It can be found here on the FiM website, btw)

However, with about 40 new rookies this year, and more and more experienced veterans, that number can only be expected to go up. After 2 weeks of competition, with 109 teams having played at least one, and about 25 having played twice, the number to hit is 17. As we've only played 1/3 of the Michigan events, this may triple or go even higher.

I think the score will go up compared to last year's, but perhaps not significantly. I think a few top-level teams will push the middle downwards, unlike last year where there were a large amount of average-to-good teams.
