Re: Chairman's Award at Championship
Being prepared for your 5 minutes to start upon entering the room is your best approach to the time problem. If you need to set up something, then use the time wisely. Have one member greet the judges, shake hands, and hand out materials while another member does the media or poster setup. Use every moment towards your ultimate goal.
We did the exact same presentation locally and at the Championship. The only difference was that in the Q & A portion the kids tended to mention projects of local interest at the regional and mentioned more projects of global interest at the Championship. Very slight differences in approach.
Another bit of advice is to find the difficult balance point between personal stories and hard numbers. Both are important to the judges.
