Rightfully so 1114 and 2056 gets all the attention of the teams from Canada, but there are so many good teams up here that are going to do great things at the championship. I believe this is the year that we see more then 2 Canadian teams on Einstein, The level of competition in Canada on the same level as Michigan and California. Here are some Canadian teams that are going to surprise people at Champs:
- 610, best year yet, double regional finalists, great telescoping arm with roller claw and pnumatic release, strong drive train, and consistant minibot. Beast.
- 781, best year in a while, first regional win since 2002. very simple and effective design, good tubber, and fast and consistant minibot.
- 1503, simple arm that feeds from the human player and can put up 6+ tubes a match. Fast drive train and good driver, fast minibot with consistant deployment. Another 2 great regional wins teaming up with 1114.
- 1334, simple elevator design with wide gripper. Another very competitive robot from the red devils, regional finalist at GTR West.
- 188, telescoping arm with roller claw. Not as successful as the last two years on the regional level, but if they can get the bugs worked out they have to potential to make noise in St. Louis.
- 2702, regional Winner in Wisconsin.
- 2809 (plug for my team

) Regional Finalist in New York with out minibot deployment, we can consistently put up tubes and have a rebuilt minibot deployment and minibot for St. Louis.
Those are just the highlights I could think of, there are 18 Canadian teams making the trip to St. Louis and we should continue to show that we have some of the most competative teams in the world.
