If you're reading this, I'm certain you have a greater range of ways to handle your appreciation.
Until I hear evidence to the contrary, I'm going to think of this concert as Will.i.am's way to show his appreciation of FIRST. We need to treat his effort with respect for the spirit with which it is offered. If it causes us to take a diversion from the usual, predictable path, it's not a big deal.

I don't think - at least I don't hope that anyone here is blaming Will.i.am, although it's certainly a possibility that he played a part in the setup. It's about the FIRST people that created this setup.
