I think that the main weakness of this years competition were the alliances. It would work much better if we were paired with a team right from the kickoff and keep them as partners from then on would work better. Because some teams built specialized bots (high or low), while some built all around bots. This meant the average score didn't ability of a bot, but rather its ability to compliemnt another. I guess neither W/L or points are an acuarte way to messaure the quality of a robot when in pairs. If it were 1 on 1, I'm all for W/L it just makes more sense as far as I'm concerned.
