Re: Reasonable System Requirements

Main question, desktop or laptop. If you are looking at a laptop with mostly solidworks in mind (no gaming or something similar that would use the graphics card) go for something in a business line with a dedicated ATi or Nvidia workstation card (such as thinkpads or some dell latitudes/precisions)

I would say probably 8GB of ram would be good (I ran it about 2 years ago on 4GB and it performed decently)
