Re: 2011 IRI

Too much to say for one post but I'll try anyway. This was an amazing IRI. Possibly the most competitive event I've ever seen, every qualifier felt like an elimination match. Every single team who hit the field brought something to the table. I think it was significantly deeper and more even than MSC. Wow.

Thanks to 829 for letting me help out with pre-match strategy. These guys are a classy team with a strong, well built robot. I was really impressed with the very consistent ubertube (as long as we didn't blow a CIM and careen into 217), quick and smart passing play, and quality gripper. It was a pleasure working with you guys and I hope to share some time behind the glass with you guys at a future event. (Alliance?)

Congratulations to 11 with a wonderful performance this weekend. They proved to everyone that, in my opinion in least, they're arguably the strongest team from New Jersey this year. A very smart scorer and smart alliance captain.

Thanks to Billfred for a fun three days at IRI. I think you helped me set a new Random Robotics Adventure Record! A HUGE thanks to Andy Baker as well for a nice meetup after the event.

1503's kids are cool. 1114's kids are cool too.

By the way, Nick, you dropped something.
