Word to the newcomers (in this case <4 years in the competition): Manchester is NH's largest city, and NH is usually the location of the first US Primary. It's actually
state law that our primary must be scheduled 7 days before any similar event (Iowa, who holds a caucus, doesn't count).
Because FIRST HQ lives in the
Manchester Millyard it's a frequent stop for candidates. You'll see more of this as things get later in the year, and especially as we get closer to Kickoff, which in 2008 occurred the following Tuesday.
Word to the wise: if you're coming to NH this year,
book your hotel now.
