Sean, Yes 2001 was a very good year for the Gila Monsters, one of our rare trips to the East Coast.
This may have been answered already but the primary sponsor of those "

Monsters" Team 64 and these "
Gila
Monsters" Team 3785 is the same. The
General
Motors Desert Proving Ground. We moved from our Mesa, AZ location to Yuma, AZ and have resurrected the team here in Yuma.
We have a great group of new mentors/engineers involved for the first time in FIRST hence the rookie number from last year. Also awesome mix of students from the local high schools blended to make what we believe will do justice to the Gila Monster name and heritage.
The

Monster students came up with the
Gila
Monster name back in 1998.
