Mechatronics Graduate Programs

Hello everyone,

I am a senior in Purdue University's Industrial Engineering program with minors in Mechanical Engineering and Psychology. Besides looking into several Industrial Engineering full-time positions to pursue after I get my undergraduate degree, I am also looking into pursuing a Masters degree (or possible PhD) in Mechatronics, Robotics, or EE/ME with a focus on Mechatronics. I had a few questions for the CD community with regard to my decision:

1) How difficult is it to switch between engineering majors when going from being an undergraduate to a graduate student? I have four extra-curriculars that relate to Mechatronics and Robotics.

2) Are there any schools in particular I should be aware of in my school search? I have no size preference or location preference.

3) Do you have any advice for writing the personal statement/choosing letters of recommendation/selecting a school?

Thanks in advance,
Ben Martin
