The letter on FIRST website pretty much explains the whole qualification process... and that process started a lot of discussions in this forum. Since you weren't here before, you probably haven't seen the 20 threads people started for talking about this new qualification FIRST started using.

for a summary of all those discussions. On a side note, many such newsletters will appear in the "Feature Announcements & Forum Help", under sub forum: "Bulletins and Newsletters", when the 6 week starts. There will probably be a final test launch at the end of this month, when my finals are over
, and finish the newsletter title contest! The official ones will start around the kickoff weekend of the 6 weeks.
The two old newsletters aren't visible to most people because their default setting only show posts in the past 45 days. So go in there and set the "from last 45 days" to "from the beginning", and look at the threads with "newsletter" in the title.
