Thank you this reinforced what one of my team mates researched earlier. The LED on the I/O sidecar was blinking normally indicating that the CRio was working.
The problem was that PWM functions are restricted with out a driver station. we were attempting to run programs through a debug console.
Fortunately we were able to hook up our driver station and get a camera/2 servo setup working and a motor. It was a very successful night.
