1ounce*1mile/1 * 5280 ft/1 mile * 1lbf/16oz = 5280/16 ft*lbf = 330 foot-pounds. Actually, that isn't an unreasonable unit for some applications, impact wrenches come to mind (especially the big pneumatic ones).
