That's how we did it last year when MI and Seattle had major shuffles near and after the end of the draft season. There's even a special case in the rules for how to handle a double event shuffle.

Just remember: any team adding after an event's draft goes to waiver once they're noticed. This gives everyone a chance to claim the team (we've had a few powerhouse alliances built from adds).
