If I may provide some insight here, I made a comment to Akash while we were chatting about this thread. 816 is planning to do a closed to the public build season this year (first in quite some time) as well as not posting Pictures of their robot until sometime after the MAR CMP. Some of the members are concerned with the copying of our machine and/or it's components from event to event - especially with the new District System this year. We learned First hand in 2011 that it is possible to rebuild more than 50% of a machine in under 6 hours with a proper game plan.
I guess we really don't have any control over what others do, though I would suggest that you hold off on posting any sort of photographic database until the week or two leading up to the CMP. At that point all of the secrets are, or at least should be, out.
