Hi there,
GOFIRST, a FIRST alumni organization at the University of Minnesota- Twin Cities, hosted the 2011 MN Mock Kick Off event on December 3rd.
A Mock Kick Off is where teams take a old FRC game, condense the rules and Kick Off the old game. This gives rookies a chance to learn what a Kick Off is and veterans get to review an industry standard design process. This year we kicked off the 2005 FRC Game- Triple Play.
20 FRC teams attended with 188 people. All of the materials for the event can be found on our website:
http://www.mngofirst.org/moko.html (Please ignore the construction!)
On the site you will find the agenda for the event, an encyclopedia of robot designs that we used to supplement historical research, the powerpoint we followed, and the papers we passed out for the students to use.
Student interviews, pictures of the event, and an explanation of the event can be found here:

We are planning on expanding the Encyclopedia document we created throughout the 2012 FRC season. If you have any advice on ways we could make the program better or things to include in the Encyclopedia feel free to PM me or contact GOFIRST:

If you use these documents let us know!
