Re: USB Game controllers

We use the Logitech F310 religiously, now that the older Logitech Dual Action Gamepads seem to be discontinued.

With the F310s specifically, one thing you need to be VERY aware of is the little switch at the back labelled "X<->D"

It will switch the controller between F310 and Dual Action Emulation mode. When you toggle it, you will see the controller show up in the DS under different names depending on the setting of the switch.

The two controllers have different axis mapping, and if the switch gets flipped, your axes will get all flipped around.

Ironically, we usually keep one in X mode, and one in D mode so that we can clearly see in the DS which one is the Operator's controller, and which one is the Driver's controller.
