I did do the factory reset (several times) with no apparent change. Again, the axis ip utility (the utility for assigning IP addresses to cameras from axis) recognized the camera as having an address of 192.168.0.90, but it was not accessible.

I have been using a crossover cable to connect the camera to a laptop. Would there be any difference if I connected it to a router? Would i have to configure the router to run on 192.168.0.xx or would it work on 10.28.48.xx?
