It could just be that its late at night so I'm overlooking something really simple and stupid, but I'm not getting the same thing with your formula
v=0.0087*(w_i)*sqrt((M*r^2)/(0.5*m+M))
v=0.0087*(5000)*sqrt((1*4)/((.5*.7)+1)
v=64.4
