So the curtain idea wouldnt work, but what if you built a shooting apparatus that utilized a good portion of the area. Blocking the field of view is definitely not allowed, but inhibiting may be. I look at it as a screen play. Having your field of view inhibited is part of the game. For example if always shoot from the side of the net but have a big shooter, is that explicitly breaking the rule?
I think taking a shot from somewhere where you may limit the field of view is perfectly legal.
