What version of Netbeans? During beta testing the manual said that any version later than 6.7 would work, and 6.9.1 was recommended (IIRC). But the first one I tried did not install the plugins properly and 6.9.1 worked fine. You might consider trying 6.9.1 if you are not currently. I have not had any problems with it so far.
