Several years ago, I wrote about one of the most important mentors in my life. I'd like to share that post again in this thread. Abigail Stevenson was my 9th grade Science teacher and she has played a huge part in helping to shape me into the person that I am today. I miss her very much but have wonderful memories of her. I'm glad I was wise enough to realize that something special was happening in that classroom and that I needed to pay close attention. Even though I moved shortly after that 9th grade year, she kept up with me (and encouraged me to grow by how she lived) for the rest of her life. It was a gift.
Here's my original post.
Mentoring is no small thing.
