This would make no difference, as to only sending signals to the Digital Side Car. When you deploy the code is it loading onto to the robot? Are you using the YELLOW crossover cable? Are you sure you changed your computers ip to whatever it is suppost to be? Same with the subnet: 255.0.0.0? Turned off the firewall?
