Now, isn't the purpose of FIRST to inspire students? If everyone who joined the program already knew everything and had an solid interest in science and technology, the impact of the program would be nonexistant. That's not the case, obviously.
Instead of wasting your energy on getting annoyed with these people and how you perceive their intention, why don't you try focusing on teaching them something?
Not everyone is receptive to new things. Some people, like me, are amazingly stubborn. It doesn't mean we're not worth the effort.

Ok, how about you think about what I said before you jump to a reaction. The newbies have NO intention of learning ANYTHING about robotics. This is the point I was trying to make that obviously went WAY over your head. On top of the fact that they have the combined mechanical skills of an ANT does not make things any better. I am easily annoyed, and things like this annoy me. Would you appreciate being put on a back burner in favor of a bunch of young, inexperienced, immature kids who really have nothing to do with what the applied for? By the way, the last thing, "open up", was uncalled for. Chill.
