Re: CAN Jaguar losing power temporarily

I figured that if it loses the state of the PowerCycled flag, it is a good indication that it has lost its configuration. It would be nice if somebody from TI can confirm it.

Code:
    typedef enum {kCurrentFault = 1, kTemperatureFault = 2, kBusVoltageFault = 4, kGateDriverFault = 8} Faults;
None of the faults "cause" a reset. However, the reason for the fault may lead to a reset. There is more detail in the 2012 Jaguar FAQ, but here is the summary:

Current spikes will dip the battery voltage. If the voltage drops too much (below 6V) then the Jaguar will brown out and reset. The FRC batteries are pretty good at dumping current without too much voltage drop IF they're charged. If the battery is too low or if it is too old the voltage dips will be more severe.

If you are lucky, you will see a voltage fault before the brown out. Most likely, the voltage drop will be so fast that the Jaguar can't indicate a fault before it browns out.

Checking the PowerCycled flag is the right way to determine if the Jaguar has browned out and reset.
